crooked colors - collection

Crooked Colors is a bold fusion of two passions that have shaped my life: skateboarding and art. Inspired by my journey, which began at the age of 11 when I first stepped onto a skateboard, this series brings together the energy and spirit of the streets with the raw expression of vibrant, colorful street art. Each piece, painted on skateboards, features animals and faces in striking, almost rebellious hues that challenge the conventional use of color, echoing the unpredictability and freedom of skate culture.

Skateboarding was my first love, a realm where creativity and movement collide, and it continues to hold a special place in my heart alongside painting. The boards themselves serve as a canvas that feels both personal and authentic, carrying the weight of my early experiences in the skate community. Every deck tells a story, not only of artistic creation but of the journeys, tricks, and moments of self-expression that skating embodies.

The exaggerated, angular forms and vivid colors in Crooked Colors are my way of capturing the rawness and spontaneity of skateboarding, where every movement is unpredictable, just as the colors splashed across the boards are. Each design embraces the imperfect and the crooked, reflecting the idea that life and art are often not straight lines but rather a beautiful mess of shapes, colors, and moments of unpredictability.

This series is a celebration of the intersection between two worlds that have shaped me: the unstructured freedom of the skate park and the freedom of artistic expression. Crooked Colors is my way of honoring the passion and energy of skateboarding while pushing the boundaries of what art can be—bold, dynamic, and always evolving.
